The ms25 currently inside my 360 is failing to read any disks, its on its last legs.... Most of the time i'd be half way thru a game and get disk read errors...annoying.

Still trying to revive the drive, gonna send it to a friend down in London to help, will let you know progress.

Unfortunately I don't have access to another pc at this time, so its just dead for me atm. I managed to spoof the samsung with 1.6(i think) by the windows version of dosflash. Its running 1.5 games fine, just slow, noisey and the tray is sticking. Pain.

Yep floppy is disabled and sata is plugged into the prim port... I've tried almost everything and becoming ever more frustrated with this drive, just ready to hurl it in the bin.

But how come my comp locks up on dosflash

Nah wont need to dump keys, its from an old RROD box, I have the drive now and just about to give it a blast just want to make sure this looks ok..

Nope - Chances are likely that the drive is fried, since no power at all runs through it - even from the xbox supply. Looks like i'm gonna need a new drive "doh"

Nothing happens when I power off and on, the tray stays open. Yes the kit is knackered - A fuse may have blown on it. I think the drive may be also.

No joy.... same problem.....hanging on the dosflash... just doesnt seem to be any power at all to the drive...

Yes, the drive is powered because it is sitting inside the xbox shell connected to it..... Altho it wont eject when I push the button, so It would appear that It has no power at all? Surely I couldnt get the FF72 status with no power?
