Ah okay, because I grabbed some yesterday and all they had was Verbatim DVD-R DL and they don't seem to work, whereas my TDK DVD+R DL do. So I think I'd better find some more + media cheers

Just curious, do you have to use DVD+R DL? or can you use DVD-R DL as well?

Hey think I got it to work, just had to use the SATA port that was closest to the front of the case.

Well I got the VIA card and mine is sticking on 0x7F as well... maybe I will try doing in on my girlfriends computer =/

I think the problem is with my SATA, i've read a lot of threads now about people having to use a modified MTKFLASH for the NF4 chipset, I think it's just going to be a lot easier and less frustrating for but that VIA card. Although it's $35 over here!

Also I don't think I ticked "Patch MTKFlash" last night, would that make a difference?

NVIDIA nForce 4 Parallel ATA Controller would be my controller right? It just sounds like an IDE controller or something
