J/F has made my Liteon drive unresponsive, it's locked. No, eject, No Open. Not to worry mate, i've done it, some sort of problem with the firmware that i was trying to flash in went on xbins and got a replacement and i was all good.

you can spoof a lite 0n any firmware to any firmware they are the same hardware.if you get a repaired drive from M$ they upgrade the firmware and put a new sticker over the old sticker.so if you have a 7xxx you can make it a 9xxx if you want. its not recomments to flash a benq spoofed as a lite on ...

I'm flashing an hitachi v47 cofree, JF is not finding the correct path to the CFW when i go to write i'm getting an error can't find the correct path to the firmware or what ever it is, so that's not working. Anyone have a download link for the dosflash files you put in the root of the USB, can't find anyworking files anywere, the files that i have when i type : dosflash, i'm told i'm using a bad command...

So there going to take away unlimited usage price plans and give you caps, so if i'm understanding this correctly even though you might already be on a set unlimited price plan, there trying to put a stop to that and only allow capped price plans, the new capped price plans will be of only 25 GB Max...

I did the MRA hack on a stock 7 series the other day to get the full dump. I had trouble getting the drive to show up in doshflash too. For me i had to remove Via drivers. Page 151 of the jftut1.3.8.pdf guide told me how, after i did this it showed up.

Tell apart a v1 and a v2 liteon 83850c
I know you can just try flash as a liteon v1 and if that doesn't work then you can be pretty sure you've got a v2, but is there any possible way to tell without hooking the drive up to the sata and trying to flash. Say perhaps just looking at the year of the drive....

E 71 error and not fully updated to the new dash
Updating to the new dash (2.0.12611.0) through means of USB. Plug in the USB, turn on the box select yes to contiune select no to disregard. I select yes, the update starts to install.... May restart dueing the process etc... As it restarts i see the new start up screen, then bam straight to the E71...
