Re: What to do with my RROD 360

I think the best option for your box would be to send it in for a reballing. I haven't looked around but I have seen others talking that it cost around 35-50 dollars for this process, and its pretty much a done deal fix when it is done.

It will work if you are using jungleflasher and choose the correct ports.

Re: Can't dump my liteon, please help!

Are you using a probe for the TX, or did you solder the points together? If you are using a VIA chipset then use this tutorial and jungleflasher instead of the extractor software.

Gerry, any info on what may have gotten you banned would probably be helpful to others. Without breaking any of the sites rules on posting. Thanks.

Re: BenQ flashing

What is the chipset of the sata ports. I think that via chipset is the best to use. I had to order a VIA PCI card something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/VIA-3-SATA-Serial-ATA-IDE-Port-PCI-Card-VT6421A-2-CABLE_W0QQitemZ270322597755QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPCA_Cables_Adapters?hash=item270322597755&_trk...

Re: Homemade Probe/Spear

I actually just soldered one end of mine to the tx on the seriall-ttl converter then I soldered the other end to a desktop staple.

Works great. The staple is small enough to place on the via at r707 without any problems.

Re: Lite-on Flashing

I deleted my via re-install file from windows system32 folder and unistalled the drivers for the card and installed the portio. With my serial to ttl converter with a homemade probe and had no problems using jungle. I thought it worked very well. The only problem is that I had an extra hard drive co...

Re: New Firmware?

As far as updating to the new dashboard, it isn't going to increase or decrease your chances of having a modded drive detected. The thing that has been getting people detected and banned is playing games that weren't ripped properly or playing games that was downloaded and not yet available in their...

Re: Lite-on here is what we know

ok, here is what I know so maybe this will keep the speculation down and also un-necessary posting. This is from what Irez said so I take that as gold. You will have to have some sort of rs-232 to TTL converter to dump your key and such. Then you will be able to create the ixtreme firmware based of...

Re: Spofing Benq/Liteon Drives detectable

I only posted that irc log because I don't want to see anyone getting banned. Not that it will happen, but this puts you at a higher risk. Patience will prevail here. Wait and let c4eva and his team make things as safe as possible. That's all I was stating.

Re: Lite-on here is what we know

according to c4eva, the fw for the lite-on will not include a dump. You will have to retrieve your key, then prepare your firmware, then send a wipe command to the lite-on and then a write command for your firmware. So you will still need to extract the key to prepare the firmware with before you wr...

Re: Lite-on here is what we know

The maximus 360 extractor supports usb key retrieval for the lite-on. Then the flash should be sata. also here is something everyone should be aware of.... 2008-12-07 [02:39] <c4eva> ALL SPOOFED LITEONS ARE EASILY DETECTABLE BY MS! EVEN BENQ! WILL NEED IX1.5! [02:42] <c4eva> 1.5 will cater for hidde...
