How would that contact be fixed? I have looked up on so many websites and the only thing I got so far is to sand down the board to get all of the copper exposed and then run a wire from the point to where it needs to be connected.

Yeah I couldnt tell you. Last night when i tried to play a blue ray movie it didnt work. The drive took the CD in and all of the sudden it made a sound like if it was ejecting the disc, but it didnt and the PS3 never read the movie.

I know it has been opened before, but not sure for what.

I just got a PS3 slim for 150 and the only problem with it right now is that the system sometimes reads games and sometimes it doesnt. It reads Blue ray movies and other media this only happens on games. I dont know if this is a laser issue or if maybe it is a dvd drive issue. If anyone has any info...

Dude I am starting to think I am a little slow when it comes to this because I cannot find it. I see a whole bunch of them about unboxing, but none for opening.

So I tried the MRA hack and for some reason the drive will not get out of status 52. I cannot get it to go into vendor mode.
