little spring came off something in my drive

Post by daqid »

earlier i flashed my benq drive to 2.0 today and tested a game and it worked fine. a little while ago i tried to play the same game and i get a open tray error. so i put an older game and i got the same thing. then i noticed a scratching noise so i took it back apart and found a little spring sitting right beside the eye. the spring don't appear to be damaged but i have no idea where to put it, its just sitting there.

haha that looks exactly like the spring from your faceplate which closes the door to the usb ports. Wonder how that got in there :?

Definitely the spring from the faceplate's USB port cover.
But there's no sense crying over every mistake,
