original fw restore

hi guys - if a ps3 has been modded, but never been online...and you then restore it back to original 3.55fw....will the console get banned once you go on line ?..was thinking of getting one thats had this done to it, but having second thoughts now ?...ta

i dont know for sure
there is not much out there on doing what you are talking about
i know going back to stock on a 360 dont save you from the ban

I seriously doubt it'll be banned.

Lot's of the guy's who had theirs modded had to restore to an original FW in order to update or they would brick their console. I didnt hear of any ban's being handed out to these guys.

I'm not really up on much ps3 stuff, so you may want to wait for an answer from one of our ps3 guys

No man I wouldnt worry about being banned... NO ONE TO DATE HAS BEEN BANNED FOR BEING MODIFIED ON THE PS3. And it sounds to me your not interested in running CFW so your good ,even if you do wanna run CFW then you wont be able to get on line to be banned anyway... so how ever you wanna go you will be good
