i will check the forum for this problem and any solutions... thanks

well this is the dvd drive that you picked up to put in the console that had the lite-on dvd drive right.
if so.
there a good chance that the firmware in that samsung dvd drive does not have a key in it.
i have never bought a drive with a key in it.

well it was a bad key just a lot of "fffffffffffffffffffffffffffff"
or
'000000000000000000000000'

just something to fill the space.
you have to put in your key from the lite-on. ;)

ah ok so i should use the xteams build of the liteon and then place that new firmware in the backups folder of the iprep and then run a rsam while in iprep setup?

awaiting your response!

Sorry for butting in here, but if you've already got a dump of your lite-on, all you need to do is dump your samsung. Then use firmware toolbox to open the lite on firmware and get the key. Then open the samsung firmware and inject the key. Then import the inquiry.bin to do the spoofing. Then flash the samsung firmware. I know this isn't step by step, but thats what you need to do.

Not a prob! ;)

The only factor here is that the sammy drive was purchased and it in fact has no key on it being it never belonged to a xbox so the key is a bunch of 000000000000000000 and as cofree wrote its basically filler, and ready to be flashed.

so i used firmware toolbox and took the ixtreme firmware 12x-and saved the liteon key over it, then spoofed option and added the inquiry.bin and vuala! spoofed to liteon.

now i placed that new ixtreme firmware sammy spoofed the liteon in the backups folder of my iprep disk and named it as sam-ofw

i checked the file again trough firmware tool box and it shows the liteon key spoofed to sammy.
so i will run a rsam to inject the liteon spoof key along with xtreme..

What kind of motherboard is good for running a server? Me and a few friends are going to all chip in to buy a new computer specifically for running a server. To be exact, a maplestory private server when the files are released. I know what kind of cpu, ram, etc. i'm gonna get, i just dont know if there is such a thing as a good motherboard for running servers.

Great thread. I think it would have been easier to use JungleFlasher.
