Divx 7 With Divx Plus HD

This technology preview introduces support for DivX Plus HD (.mkv) video in
applications using the Microsoft Media Foundation, a new framework introduced in
Windows 7. The package includes a native version of the DivX MKV Demux as well
as shell extensions that provide thumbnail images and detailed file information
for files with either ".divx" (DivX 6) or ".mkv" (DivX 7) extensions for an
enhanced experience.

AC3filter

AC3Filter is a high quality free audio decoder and processor filter. It allows
media players to playback movies with AC3 and DTS audio tracks. Also it can
process any audio track, much of processing options allows to adjust the sound
in almost any way. It is possible to upmix any audio source to 6 channels.
Filter can do multi-channel and digital (SPDIF) output. It can encode any audio
source to AC3 on-the-fly and send it over SPDIF to the receiver.

MatroskaSplitter

Haali Media Splitter is a media splitter that supports both Win9x and real
systems.

Haali Media Splitter offers support for almost all Matroska elements,
implemented in the core parser library. The DS splitter supports multitrack and
multisegment linked and/or concatenated files.

Does this apply to TVersity aswell as most people dont even bother with that Windows Media Centre coz it takes forever to load. Tversity is much easier and better in my opinion. But funny enough you just remind me about installing Divx as I only put windows 7 32 bit on last week and couldnt remember all the progs I had before.

Cheers Nice Info ! ;)

Whats really nice about this is that you dont have to use programs like TVersity to stream the media. For some reason the codec tricks Windows Media Center into thinking that a divx file is being played but its actually playing a mkv file. I dont like the transcoding option due to it being a pain in the butt and also the loss of 5.1 chan audio. With this codec combo you dont lose the ability to have 5.1 chan sound.

I like the look and style of the windows media centre but like I said before it just takes too long to load up on the xbox. Tversity is just seamless and you can open your libary as easy as loading up a game. Ive downloaded and installed Divx and AC3 audio though so thanks for that. I might try using that Media Centre again sometime. But then again ive just put win 7 on so I might not have it, or does it come with win 7 as default.

No worries thanks for this, Take Care ! :)

P.S In fact ive just got WMC on my xbox now, Ive set it all up now ive just installed that splitter as I done other 2 last night. On setup of WMC on xbox it advised me to change the setting on my router to band A for better performance but although I have the new BT Home Hub 2.0 with new firmware on it theres no option for band A, Only b/d/and g. So may not be able to use it.

Thanks for this man. Works like a champ! Been wanting something like this for awhile now, and am not down with Stereo audio.
