Tom Clancy - Rainbow Six Vegas 2

Post by MsK »

Have been playing this for a few days now ;)

I completed the story & completed all the terrorist hunts on realistic - have maxed out all the A.C.E.S & obtained all weapons :)

Pro's & Con's
  • The graphics are typical of the previous rb6 games although slightly polished & the framerate is alot smoother :)
...unfortunatly there are some framerate problems at times tho! everything just slows down & chokes!!
  • The strory mode can be intense @ times & enjoyable to play but on contrast I think the actual story & narrative is weak.
  • The addition of A.C.E.S is a "cod4 challenge'esq" clone which is a welcome addition but in all honesty far to easy to max out & complete!
  • The co-op t-hunt & story mode is great fun with friends
  • The online lobby system is as good as it always was - if it aint broke don't fix it ;)
  • Online players attitudes in lobbys & in game is alot more social & team orientated than most other fps shooters.
  • I'm not keen on the sprint feature because:

    a) the button is mapped in the wrong place
    b) it's just a little bit pointless for the way you control the rainbow character & negotiate maps
  • The online maps are weak & the spawn points are completly f*cked up!!
I just havn't had any fun playing them yet :(

I'm happy with the final game - it's pretty much what I expected.
Not so happy with the online maps - the spawn points are really f*cked!

Not sure if i'm gonna stick with it online for much longer because of the map & spawn issues!
Especially since COD4 is set for a few new goodies in april...
I also have the beta for Battlefield : Bad Company which is due to start on 25/03 :p

A shame really because vegas 1 had me hooked for 12 months straight

I have this game but haven't played the online side. I really didn't like the main story i thought is was slight off track.
