Installer is dead

Post by BobSeager »

Installer has submitted to Cydia and support has ceased. No word if the new jailbreaks will give you the option to install it, but I haven't used installer since sub-2.0 firmware anyway. There's really no need for both of the programs.

But if you used installer then yes, you must change or face obsolesence.

I figured installer would go by the way side since the introduction of Cydia. Just didn't know how long it would take Cydia to become as popular as it has.

Installer was pretty crappy anyways. It was WAY to resource intensive last time I used it, I had 100% signal strength, and once I opened installer I would need to wait like 2 mins before it had loaded all the images, not to mention refreshing sources...

Cydia is wayyy better =D
