Retailer Review
Here is a break down of our grading system.
A = excellent
B = good
C = average
D = passing
F = failing


Here are some retail site i have bought stuff from.
I will go into my shopping experience with each.
In the bottom half of this post.

They do have a phone number for phone in orders.
If you click there contact us link at the bottom there are many way to get in touch with them.

2. Do they have good communication with there customers.(e-mail,chat rooms and the like)
Yes they will get back in touch with you if you drop them a e-mail

3.Do they offer for sale only items that they have in stock.
They only offer in stock items for sale and they have the quantity they have on hand for you to see.

4. Is the shipping reasonable and sent in a timely manner.
There shipping rate is in line with the other retailer and it gets out in a timely manner.
They also have many different shipping options.

5. How was the item packaged for shipping.
All packages have came in good shape and well padded in side to help prevent damage to the items.

6. How big is there Available inventory
Well there is two side to this coin.
On the one side they have a large selection of things for sale for many different consoles.
You name it they have something for it.
DS.Xbox360,PSP,computer,PS2,PS3 and the WII just to name a few.
BUT , That is also there down fall.
The xbox 360 is the big thing here. I would like to see more of a selection for the xbox360

7. Ease of website use.
Being that they sale so many different item for so many console there site is a little busy
but,over all this is a very nice site to shop on.

To sum up.
This is a site I go to first(and hope they have the item i want)
We have first hand experience with there return policy also.
A item came in not working right .We went through the return process and received a replacement.
They made the return as good as can be expected.
With that being said.They get a grade of "A"

They only have a local phone in Winnipeg, Manitoba,Canada
That could be better.We would like to see a "800" number for ordering.

2. Do they have good communication with there customers.(e-mail,chat rooms and the like)
They have what they call a help desk.At this help desk you submit a ticket and they will get back to you,which they do in a timely manner.
So far, they are the fastest at getting back with me after I submitted a ticket.

3.Do they offer for sale only items that they have in stock.
So far they have only sold me stuff that they had in stock.They do list a pre-sale if you want.
I have done there pre-order,and things went great.They stay in touch with you about the release date of your per-ordered item.

4. Is the shipping reasonable and sent in a timely manner.
There shipping rate is in line with the other retailer and it gets out in a timely manner.
They also have many different shipping options.

5. How was the item packaged for shipping.
All packages have came in good shape and well padded in side to help prevent damage to the items.

6. How big is there Available inventory
There 360 mod inventory is one of the best around.They also have a good inventory of other console modding items.


7. Ease of website use.
I like this site.Its strait forward and easy to find what you are looking for.

To sum up.
I like this site a lot.The only thing that kept them from getting a "A" (at one point they had a A- ) is the fact that they don't have a "800" number you can call for your ordering.This is also the site I get most of my 360 stuff from.
I have never had to deal with there return so I cant speak to how well they will handle a return.

"FYI"
The staff at http://www.modchip.ca" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; has been in touch with me.They explained why they don't openly list there 800 number.
I found there reasoning perfectly understandable.They also gave me there 800 number for me to use if the need arises.
I will not give out this number unless i see that a person has went through there proper support system.
All that being said.I think it says a lot about this site. They took the time to check out our site and gave us enough respect to talk to me about there review.


With that being said.They now get a grade of "A"

I have not ordered from this site in a long time.My information could be out of date.

Yes,they do have a phone number for call in orders.

2. Do they have good communication with there customers.(e-mail,chat rooms and the like)
They do list many way to get in touch with them.I am not sure how well they will respond to a email or in there chat room.
3.Do they offer for sale only items that they have in stock.
They do list on there site if/when a item is out of stock.

4. Is the shipping reasonable and sent in a timely manner.
There shipping rate is in line with the other retailer and it gets out in a timely manner.
They also have many different shipping options.

5. How was the item packaged for shipping.
All packages have came in good shape and well padded in side to help prevent damage to the items.

6. How big is there Available inventory
They have a good list of cases and controller,but little in the way of true mod items.

7. Ease of website use.

They do list some e-mails if you have any problems.

I'm not sure.The only thing I ordered was in stock

There shipping rate is in line with the other retailer and it gets out in a timely manner.
They also have many different shipping options.

5. How was the item packaged for shipping.

They DO NOT have a phone number or even a e-mail listed for you convenience

How could they without a phone number and/or a e-mail.
They do offer a "Contact Us" page that will let you submit a ticket.I have no idea how fast they will get back to you.


3.Do they offer for sale only items that they have in stock.
At one point they would sell you a item they DID NOT have in stock.It does look like they mad a change with that now.
I also noticed that if you are looking for a "Xecuter Connectivity Kit' They are out of stock.
Then they tell you to order a "XENO CONNECTIVITY KIT" that it is the same.
Well that is a lie the "xeno" is a clone of the Xecuter Connectivity Kit.

4. Is the shipping reasonable and sent in a timely manner.
There shipping rate is in line with the other retailer and it gets out in a timely manner.
They also have many different shipping options.

5. How was the item packaged for shipping.
All packages have came in good shape and well padded in side to help prevent damage to the items.

6. How big is there Available inventory
From the look of it they do have a good inventory
They stock mostly modding item.They don't have any case and controller items.

7. Ease of website use.
well the site looks fine , but I don't like the way the site is laid out.You just have to look to hard to get a good picture of the item you are looking at/for.


To sum up.
I used to order from this site a good bit.Then I ordered a out of stock item and they did not tell me about it and i waited for ever(getting pissed with every day).The item did come in after a long wait.
That was the last time i ordered from them.
Also the whole "clone" thing is odd to say the least.
alone with there being no normal way to get in touch with them they make a grade of "D"

Yes they do have a phone number for all the good it will do.I tried for 3 days to get them on the phone never did get them till after my order showed up.I called after my order showed up just to make sure I had the right number.

They do have a order help chat room that no one will answer you in.
also they have a ticket system that goes un answered.

3.Do they offer for sale only items that they have in stock.
Well now we get to the meat of the problem.They show items that are "in stock" or "out of stock" and "pre-order"
,but I was able to order a in-stock items that was out of stock.

4. Is the shipping reasonable and sent in a timely manner.
There shipping rate is in line with the other retailer and it gets out in a timely manner.
They also have many different shipping options.

5. How was the item packaged for shipping.
All packages have came in good shape and well padded in side to help prevent damage to the items.

6. How big is there Available inventory
This is the only redeeming thing about the site.They list a great list of items.

7. Ease of website use.
I like the sites look,and its easy to navigate around.


To sum up.
Well the only reason they did not get a "F' is because of there inventory.
I did order a few times from this site with no problem.The killer was when i had a problem and could not get in touch with them.As far as i'm concerned that is a deal breaker.
so there grade of a "D-" is well deserved in my book.

They list a good method of ordering,as long as they are telling the truth.

4. Is the shipping reasonable and sent in a timely manner.
This is the only reason I have not ordered from this site.There shipping is very high to get it to this side of the pond.

5. How was the item packaged for shipping.
Don't know.

6. How big is there Available inventory
They have the best inventory of all the sites.I wish there shipping was more in line with other sites.

7. Ease of website use.
The site is a little busy,but over all i like the look of the site.

To sum up.
I have not ordered from here because there shipping is to high.
I wish they would get there shipping lower.
I will leave the grade to one of the other guys that have ordered from them. (no grade)

They have 2 numbers, an 0845 and a local office number.

I didn't have to contact them as both products I ordered arrived within 2 days of order, but they do have an email address. The website also has a forum with a support section...

From what I've seen so far they show what's in stock, though it did let me start the purchase of an out of stock item.

4. Is the shipping reasonable and sent in a timely manner.
Very good. I ordered a CK3 Pro and a Probe on different occasions (the probe wasn't out to start with) and they both arrived within 72 hours of my orders.

5. How was the item packaged for shipping.
Both items were well wrapped and protected.

6. How big is there Available inventory
They have quite a few products for the other consoles, but mostly accessories. They have pretty much everything you could need for you 360 modding needs though, including (when in stock) replacement drives.

7. Ease of website use.
The site is bold and simple, and everything is easy to find

To sum up.
I haven't used a better online retailer, period. It helps with the store being close to me, but I was very impressed with shipping times and the range of products available. One you must check out if you're in the UK and looking for this sort of stuff... "A"

Easily navigatable, bold colours.

To sum up.
Good delivery service, ordered at 2.00 pm and it came the next morning. Also offers Neo points (the more you spend the more you get) which can be redeemed off future purchases. Also possible to pay with Paypal which was a bonus but limited to basically a UK supplier for the CK3's "A" Grade given primarily for service received due to a duff power switch and the manner they dealt with the problem. First rate for CK3's.

Yes communication is normaly pretty quick, send them a mail and normaly a response within the hour.

Yes all items have a stock quanity at the side.

Shipping time is number one. i normaly get my oders within 2 days, the only delay i have ever had was due to the courier and not ck3.

They were securly packaged and well protected.

The guys here have a wide range and normaly a good amount of stock.

7. Ease of website use.
Very easy site to use, clear & informative.

To sum up.
The only site that i know that offer a repaire service for a ck3 to uk and over seas.. Orders are processd with paypal so all personal details are secure. Very quick delivery in the uk also to across the pond. I have never had a problem with these guys would highly recomend.
With that being said.They get a grade of "A"

Of the sites listed here, I've only ordered from gamersection.ca. Your spot on with what you have so far CoFree. I've never had to return anything though, so I don't know what that experience is like other than what you've told me.

I have ordered a couple things from dealextreme. That place is dirt cheap, but there is a reason. You take a chance ordering from them. You might get a clone, which was what happened to me. They take for ever to ship because they use shippers from all over the place and they send it postal mail from overseas which takes weeks to get your order. I don't order from them any longer because of the shipping and the clone modchip deal.

I've ordered a couple of things from Kanection.co.uk and both times they've come up with the goods promptly...

I woud say from my experience so far they would attain an A by your standards

Changed the grade for Shopneo to reflect how friendly and helpful they were when my ck3 on/off switch went kaput and issued me a replacement. Top job guys.

guys i find it hard to believe that all uk sites get an "A" grade
but
being i have never bought anything from over there I will have to let lilrevuk make the call
being the mod group leader on that side of the pond.
