Jtag Nand dump

Ok so im new all this jtag stuff and i looked at some other sites and tutorials but i have a quick question is a nand dump required to jtag your xbox?

no
but a nand dump tells you if a jtag will work
so even though you can hook up the jtag it may not do any good
unless you dump the nand and check the cb to see if a jtag will work
damn i have a head ache :D

Cofree is right, you need to know if you have a kernal that is exploitable. The Nand has all of your vital data ie; cpu key, dvd, key, cb, etc. read through all of the tutorials before you get ready to go for it. wish you luck!

If you don't dump and re-write your nand, there is no benefit to installing the jtag. The newly written nand is what lets you do the magic...
