Finally got a jtag and found out it won't play divx files etc due to it not having a signed media code update so to make this work again download the file below copy it onto a usb stick and select copy with xexmenu and open \Content\0000000000000000\FFE07DF and paste the 00000002 folder into it. Click the middle button to go to the video tab and you're up and running to play divx, avi files etc from a usb or external hard drive.

After doing this, you can connect your jtag/rgh to your home network and play movies from your computer through the xbox.
