And i have no idea which chip i should get. I want to get a Wiikey cause its cheap, But i dont know if my wii is compatible with anything but the Wasabi.
I did the Wii check serial number thing and got this

So, I guess i have that D2C. Is Wasabi my only choice? Thanks for reading my ramblings, to be a noob again *sigh* Lol

If you get a wasabi, get the new version as your Wii could have what they are calling the D2C-2 chipset. They just released the new version yesterday so you should be able to find them. Otherwise, get the D2cpro9 chip. Both chips are pretty reliable and are 9 wire installs if you do a regular install. You could get a wii-clip for which ever chip you get and not have to solder the chip to the drive circuit board. From what I hear, the wii-clips are pretty reliable too. If you get a wii-clip, make sure to order one for the chip that you get.

Sess, for some reason your smilies are not working (at least on my computer). You might want to check with cofree on that.

Lol, the Wii may suck, but i still wanted all 3 consoles. So it looks like a wasabi and non-solder thing :/

If you check around pspness, you'll find sites that sell the chip and the wii-clip together as a bundle already soldered up and ready to plug onto the drive. They cost a little extra that way, but you don't have to do ANY soldering this way. Well, no soldering except one wire, and thats the F point. Check on wii-clip.com for more info on that, the clip version for wasabi is V5.

Wasabi is a good chip. I've installed two and they've ran great without one problem. I did not use the Wii-Clip though it will be a piece of cake to install. Make sure you also get a tri-wing screwdriver to open the Wii if you're doing it yourself.

Well just another question, does the D2pro9 rev. 2.0 for my board have solder points like the wasabi's f point? Or is it really plug and play?

The Wasabi's F point is the d2pro's J point. The d2pro is plug and play with the wii clip
