It should be. I don't think there is an unmoddable one with the wasabi zero. Not real sure without knowing what type of drive it has.

You can check the database to see if it may have epoxy on the board. I'm not familiar with the zero, but if it connects to any of the familiar spots...it won't work. There appear to be a whole new generation of chips on the way tho that interface over the drive cable, some have already hit the scene. These will work on any model wii. I'm holding out for the drivekey.

http://www.wiidrives.com/list

A quick glance shows at least some of the LEF serials have epoxy.

Hm I found me some free time it's almost midnight but thats my problem,

I looked into the console serial number some more and digged a little deeper for intel on the wasabi zero and i found this

The correct jumpersetting for a PAL Wii with DMS/D2A/D2B drive: 1234 OFF ON ON OFF
The correct jumpersetting for a PAL Wii with D2C/D2E drive: 1234 OFF ON OFF OFF

Pal settings i'm living in belgium

On serialnumbers LEH2247-LEH2321 and LEH2349 (+higher) and LEF1116 (+higher) the clip can't be used because there is epoxy on the chip

The console I have is LEF1115.... so it's below I will try the clip if it doesn't work then i'll have to solder it
Lets hope it works the easy way ! I let it know how it went ;)

Might want to hold off and wait on either the drivekey or the wasabiDX. Both those chips don't need to be soldered. They connect in by unhooking the drives ribbon cable and plugging into the chip and then plug the ribbon cable from the chip to the dvd drive and your done. Minus some electrical tape for insulation and putting it back together.

Most people won't recommend using the clip. They tend to break, fall of, and generally not have a good connection to the board. Of course there are those people who will vouch for the clip and say it's a good product. But if you have a little bit of soldering skill why not just solder it in? You can make an asbolute good connection and know the chip won't ever 'fall off' or something like that.

"With softmods and new solderless solutions available many customers have doubts if thier 3x drive speed limit is worth switching from the traditional modchips. We have done several tests on multiple Wii’s using original/backup discs to determine if the drive speed effected load times and gameplay. To sum up all the information below NO DIFFERENCE!"

These are not clips. They don't clip onto the chip. The are put in place in the DVD drives ribbon cable instead. Have a look at http://www.drivekey.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for the drivekey or wasabi.net.cn for the wasabiDX.

hm I done 2 wasabi V2 chips and solderd the clip to it if ya plug it over the chip on the drive it clicks on it so even if you shake drop it of somethings like that it didn't come loose. but i heard there are those non original clips and they suck ... break if ya plug it on things like that.
