Yeah. LU60 should be fine. Only ones that can't is LU64 at the moment.

Backup games can be played off disk. Or you can use USB loader of GUI-FX to load them off sd card, or usb flash drive/HDD

Dude your awesome!! How big are the back-ups typically?

Put the contents of both zips on your SD Card as it is in the zip, just drag all to SD Card.

Do i extract it onto the card?

Sweet, that would be cool.

I print the instructions off and I think that I am going to try it.

Is there anything else that I need?

CoFree - Do I need to install the IOS60.wad before I do the CIOSv10? CIOSv10 is for hdd use correct?

Everything else is working.

How do you install different wads? Is there a tut?

Which wads are a must have for HBC and what is the globe for at the bottom right?

man wait for sadalius to post up on this just to check me

but you should install the cios v10
the globe is your connection to the net,

Further Steps

WARNING!
Do not install Preloader before installing IOS60.wad. This will create a (fixable) semi-brick. If you want to use Preloader, install it after IOS60.

here is the guide i used
the only loader i use
is the gui-fx forward, but it has to download the install
gui-fx rocks man

well you have to have the wad installer installed.
then you put a wad file in the wad folder and run the wad installer
but
keep in mind the powers that be say dont do any wad files unless you need them
and
never mess around with them
you can brick your wii

CoFree - when we talked in the chat today, you told me to use wad manager 1.4 to install my wads. I already have that. Which program do I use to install wad files from inside the Wii/ HBC menu? Like the CIOSv10.

well man the cios v10 is a .dol file and its run from the apps folder
it has to be named boot.dol
but
make sure you are not naming it boot.dol.dol
if you look at it in the detail list if its shows up as a .dol file
then it would just be named boot

when you want to run a .wad file
you would go to the HBC then the apps folder and then the wad manger
then it will list the .wad files that are in the wad folder that is on the root of the sd card with the apps folder
you will pick which .wad file you want to install.

What I am trying to do is install a game wad from the HBC inside the wii menu. ie: when you install the Home Brew Browser you run it from the HBC. Can you run the wad and install it through the HBC or do you have to go to the sd card and load the main boot.dol and go into like you are modding it for the first time.

Sorry if I have been confusing.

you have to have a sd card in with the right files for HBC to run
you would put the wiiware (if that is what it is) in the wads folder that is in the root
then in the apps folder you will have the wad manger v1.4

then start the HBC and go to the apps>wad manger and run it
it will then give you a list of wad files you can install as a channel on your dash
it looks in the wad folder that is on the sd card and lets you install them.

did that help any
:D :D
man this HBC stuff is still new to me.
what ever happened to just soldering in a mod chip for backups.
just kidding
i have found new interest in the wii i have around the house and game room.

OK I'm slow, but I'm getting it. Just thinking that there should be away to install them from inside the HBC with the lizard and globe.
