Try the other usb port and if that doesnt work hook it back up to your computer make sure your computer can still see it.

After formatting it to WBFS it does not show up on my computer.

On "My Computer" I see HDDs called Local Drives.

On "WBFS Manager 3.0" when I try to load/format it it gives an error.

I made the partition in acronis disk suite.

First what type of hard drive are you using? and what all where you able to do with it. because not all hdds will work even though the wii formats it,I would try formating it back to ntfs or whatever format it was then let the wii format it again, then take a game and install it to the drive with the wii discs drive and see if it lets you play it off your hdd. If you can do that then what wbfs manager are you using I have 3.0 by alex dp. If you cant then I would say its the hdd.

I use a seagate free agent 250 GB external USB hdd. Works great. From what I've heard, larger ones work too, but I don't know if you'd need much larger than that really.
