I don't play it myself, but I'm like Brandon, I've several friends that play it, and I would say 60% of them are hooked on the game. When I say hooked, I mean it's like a drug to them. A couple of them are even close to loosing their jobs over it. But there are those that can play responsibly. So if your that type cofree, play it up, but if you think you might even stand a chance of getting hooked on it, stay away from it.

Cofree hooked on something? Yeah right, that could never happen!   His only problem is he will play it every waking hour and then when he's decided he's done he will never even give it a second thought. Trust me I've been through it with him many times. I remember one time he decided to do paint ball. Had and awesome field set up, played every weekend. I thought cool, I'll get a gun and join the fun. Got a $300.00 gun, Played one weekend and the next weekend he decided he was through with paintball. I don't think he's ever even looked at his guns again.

He asked me if I'd get into wow with him. I don't think there's enough hours in my day to be able to go there. :D

WoW: 10 mln Subscribers
By Kris Graft
World of Warcraft's total subscriber base now incorporates seven zeros.
ImageIrvine, Calif.-based MMORPG gods Blizzard Entertainment said Tuesday that WoW now has over 10 million subscribers.

In mid-November, Blizzard announced that WoW's subscriber base was 9.3 million.

Blizzard attributed the growth to both new and returning players over the holiday season.

Europe claims 2 million of the total base, while 2.5 million are in North America and around 5.5 million are in Asia.

In China, many gamers play WoW at Internet cafes, gaining access to accounts by purchasing CD keys as opposed to monthly paid subscriptions. US users pay a monthly subscription of $13-$15 per month depending on the payment plan.

The game is played in mainland China, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.

“We’re always pleased to welcome new players to the game, and we’re looking forward to sharing the next major content update with the entire community in the months ahead," said Blizzard CEO and co-founder Mike Morhaime in a statement.

WoW fans are currently anticipating the upcoming expansion, Wrath of the Lich King.

WoW is currently available in seven languages with a Russian version in development.

How can that many people be wrong.Man im thinking about starting this game

PLAY The damn GAME !

I play it its oke becomming hooked to a game NO WAY !
If you want to play make sure when you start you got plenty of time ... :-)
It take long hours to get to lvl 70!
But there is much fun in game too.
It's like chatting and gaming in same time so thats why most players get addicted to it.
When your in a Guild your friends count on you to be there and help them in raids instances dungeons , ...
Every specific char has his goal of being part of something big !
But get your mind set straight and don't follow just with the crowd !

I play when i want and when i got the time for it. If someone is saying just stay for this last kill on that elite boss for a specifc quest i Say NO I got to go !

So for the one having no life ... start one in wow :geek: .
For me it's just for filling up some time when i got nothing better to do 8-)

oh I play on PVe server atm ' Aerie peak' the realm is called
I have one char on another pvp server

I play maybe 4 hours a day max !

It depends on what your goal is ...

If you want to Level as fast as you can to get lvl 70 you will need to play long hours ...

But i'm playing over a year now ... just on my free time now and then ... and i still don't have a lvl 70... my main char is lvl 61.
If you wish to go for the hardcore ... then it will be up to 10 -12 hours a day.
Or if you are very competitive then it will be tempting to play a lot of hours just to get ahead of others.

I made even other chars just for fun and getting some other game play and the experience of what other classes are capable of.
