Hi how do I know if my PC is compatible with a the x64 OS ?

Right click on my computer go down to properties and it should tell you your processor and ram info.

just to add some programs and modding progs arnt compatable withe x64 bit sys

Just to add with this, Windows 7 64x wasnt compatible with PortIO32 so I had to reformat to fix that. Also I was using my onboard SATA to flash my BenQ.

It's not that 7x64 isn't compatible with PortIO but no M$ 64 OS will run unsigned drivers.
