Well first HD in audio is not the same thing as HD in TV. You may or may not know this but of course HDTV stands for High-Def TV, well HD Audio stands for Hybrid-Digital, it's a just a new format that's supposed to allow for higher bit-rates and use better filters. Now on your specific system I did find several articles saying that it did support the "HD" format.
