My Bicepts/elbow are in soo much pain! HELP PLEASE!

ok hey guys yesterday i was working out, doing bicept curls.

i did about 120 reps!

and like i did feel i guess you can say "the burn" but i thought it was a good thing and that i was just buliding muscle.

now its 2 days later and i wake up this morning AND IM IN SO MUCH PAIN! like it hurts like a b!tch!.

it hurts more in my right arm but the pain is in both but more so hurts in my writing arm (right arm).

like i cant extend my elbow and make a straight arm, it just really hurts!

has anyone has such a pain after working out? and how can make it feel better? any help would be nice! thx

is that the first time you worked out
if so its going to be sore awhile

you have to start slow

man change you sig for me

yea i just started back working out and it hurts like hell now!.

but i changed the banner i know its kinda long.

but if its bad i can make it shorter! tell me what you think thx for the responce btw!

Take an anti-inflammatory (Advil/Motrin) and take it easy until the pain subsides (day or two). When you work out, you are causing damage (rip's and tear's) to the muscle group you are working, your body then repair's the damage, and in the process your muscle grows, and strengthens.

You have basically overworked your muscles. If you want you can take an ice bath, that will help alot with the pain (but so will advil/motrin) Lots of athletes use ice bath's if they are training hard day to day...

For future reference, don't do the same muscle groups day after day. If you are going to be working out alot, your going to want to get on a plan. An easy 'beginner' plan is:

Day A: Free Weights/Machines
Day B: Cardio

thx again i will take some advil and get some rest yea i really pushed myself thats why im in so much pain but thank you again!

If you are going to push yourself hard like that again, hop in an ice bath after, the cold water constricts blood flow which will reduce the swelling of your muscles, which will really cut down on the pain and soreness the next day (or even later that day).

Keep in mind its easier on your body to be working out steadily, rather than intense workout's day after day. Look at some of those body builders who were heavy into steroids, they would do steroids then insane workout's, now most of them have serious health issues.

If you really want to see results quickly you can check the front page in the wee hours before we move the spammers to the garbage bin..... :twisted:

Protein Protein Protein. It will help your muscles heal and allow you to get back in the gym quicker. I make a shake after workouts just to help the muscles. If you are trying to build a lot of body mass then you can take it in the morning, before the workout(or during) then after your workout.

hey all! thx for all the great help!

i did what he told me and took that ice bath!

dude i was soooooooooooo cold lol

but now i feel so much better!

i took all you guys advice and put it into play now im better that ever!
