Tip for bad erase for lite-on xbox 360

Post by Gony »

Hello i just want to give you guys a tip out there who has got problem with the lite-on erase.
And now the drive is like dead. This happenend to me and i only did like this.

I downloaded the Dosflash32 v1.7 beta Then you have to choose port (it founded it auto, when you start).
On the Flashing Task tab, you have to choose LiteOn Erase. Now if you look at device properties, you will not be able to se the driver beacuse its erased and ''dead''. But Dosflash32 as i said before, It founds the port auto when you start, note the port down). Then just click on the tab ''LiteOn Erase''
After you have got the status 0x72 in type, (if not 0x72 shut down dosflash32, turn off and on the drive then open dosflash32 and do it again untill you get 0x72), then just close down dosflash32 and turn off and on the drive. Then open Jungleflasher and choose your Port ( THE SAME AS IN THE DOSFLASH32 DON'T FORGET). Then load your dummy bin and the firmware you wish and spoof to target. Then go to mtk32 tab and now you may not see the drive in vendor.
Now press Intro/Device and it will change to ''vendor in mode''. Then just click Write.

Things you need: a power supply like ck3, your saved Dummy.bin (important), Firmware.

Guys sorry for language, I live in sweden but i try my best.

Do this in your own risk. This worked for me. Any help plz just write down and i'll do my best to answear.

Well first you're hijacking this thread you should start your own. But since you asked, the only way to stop a PC from freezing while flashing a lite-on is to disable the VIA drivers. Assuming that you're using a VIA VT6421A/L Sata Raid Card, you need to enter the Device Manager, disable the via card. Go to C:\Windows\System 32\Drivers\viamraid.sys for XP and vsmraid.sys for Vista and rename it to viamraid.bak or vsmraid.bak, then re-enable the card and you may have to restart your pc. But you should see a yellow ! on the card the next time you look at it in the device manager.
