Edit: Confirmed working, the only thing i did differently was finishing the flashing process with the speedfixed firmware to enable Ritek dye discs to burn at 2.4x. Sweet. Cheers Moonkinght.

Yes i did it all again and have a superb working 524 for the price of a 124.

I've now re-enrolled myself in primary/kindergarten/grade school again to learn to read properly!

Anyone know what program uses the 'label tag function' ?

Nero express v9. You can download a patch from Nero to enable it in other versions.

Hi I have got the new drive flashed and burned a game with no errors, but on the verify stage I got one after another every time i told it to ignore and continue.Do u think the drive flashed wrong as it took two attempts to get it done?On the first time it never gave me the option to pick the right bin file it just wrote, did it again and it went fine picked the bin file and thought it was o.k.Any ideas? :(

That's odd. I've flashed it a couple of times due to having the 124b firmware on first then deciding to crossflash it to a 524 and it's always asked me to pick the bin file after ive read it first and saved it then clicked on write button. As for the errors what discs are you using as it may be down to dodgy media or having a lot of processes running in the background. I tend not to touch the pc when it starts a burn just in case :)

Could be the media, or the settings with the dvd drive, or the settings in imgburn...

Need more info.

Thanks in advance!!!

when i bought mine from ebuyer it just said iHAS124-19 but it is B revision
hope this helps

Thanks for the help!!! I got the 524 on Amazon for $25 w/ shipping and it worked out perfect. Thanks again!!!
