A thought on the onslaught of this years banning aftermath.

Post by chris.redfield »

It would seem that we all understand what it means to hack a device. Sure you void warranty if you were not inclined enough to use a blow dryer, and sure your friends mother over heard the conversation you had about hacking and thinks now that her baby boy has illegal ties with a world criminal of cyber crime; but its seems that the proverbial nail doesn't feel the blow of the hammer until its your day, and your box that gets banned. As odd as it seems, we all put faith in not only these devices, admitting we rigged a few extra fans here and there, but we also put our trust in the people who create these options for us. That trust is one built in headaches and bricked drives. It is a code of silence an oath that we take to uphold our tongues from branding words that stray from "reading data" to "the benq doesn't seem to like to disc". We need to understand that we are but a huge community, some with ethics, most without but with good hearts. None the less, we need to stand our ground and keep our sharp words pointed at the devilish maker and cheer on our hero's of the digital Nottingham! This should not be a time of panic, nor a time of loss, but rather a time when we realize that all things come to a point where the roads forks and new paths must be taken. I write this message in hopes that you will all rest for a moment and plan ahead for new FW's to be released. For new Ideas to spawn into the minds of the greats. We will prevail and with that said, I am proud to be a member here. Good luck to everyone.
