well i got the other Rosewill one and it was the internal port furthest away from the metal part on the card...

use the port closest to the front of the computer

It should work pretty good for what your wanting it to do. I use a Syba brand card and it works wonders. Basically, it's the same card as the Rosewill.

Ha i have had some problems with the syba. i think its just me though. I think i got a lemon card

Well, getting a lemon card can happen. It happened to me the first time around. But what happened with mine is that the card was totally dead when I installed it. That was pretty easy to troubleshoot

you fixed it? Mine is definetly dead. I used it today on a fourth computer. This was a totally diffrent mobo than the ones i was using. 2 new dual core gateways. 1 pentium 2 gateway. and some home built pc i think it had a geforce or something.

No, I had to RMA it. I was just meaning that it was easy to troubleshoot to find out that it was dead. Sorry for the confusion....
