Play Original Games Online?

If I flash my dvd drive (I have a BenQ) will I be able to play my original games online? I want to mainly so I can update roster updates for my Fifa games.

if you flash your drive you can get on live for updates and playing on live

there is a chance of getting banned.

You should be more safe playing originals than backups, but then again, no one really knows for sure on this topic.
