Good info man. :ugeek: I was just ribbin' ya. :D I just wanted to point out that it could be done simply with a newer power supply so this guy didn't run out and spend money for something when he already had something that would work. And I felt like hard timing cofree! :D

So if i have a old Xbox 1 power supply i can use that because i have about 3 of those so looks like i m in good condition. I still have to order the connectivity kit online. That is the only thing that is holding me back.

Yeah. When we used one, we didn't take it out of the xbox1. We just unplugged the hdd and used that to power the conn. kit. Just power up the xbox1 and you've got your constant source. ;)

Another question is if i flash my drive and it has a bad key and during the installation how do i get back to my regular key? Do i use the restore.bat file that comes with the ixtreme 1.4? So all i have to do with the xbox1 power is just detach the hard drive from the power supply inside of the xbox1 and connect that to the Connectivity kit? Do i have to hook up and of the VGA wire or anything and also when flashing the Xbox 360 do i have to hook up the VGA Cables so that i don't get any error code? Or any lights that are blinking?

The dvd drive will not be in the xbox360 at all when you flash it. It will be powered by the conn. kit and hooked up to your computer through the usb360. I will have to check on your first question. Its been a while since I've flashed a Hitachi.

the hit drives dont over write the key when flashing.so it is hard to put a bad key in a hit dvd drive
nxdragon wrote:Do i use the restore.bat
if you want to put your dvd drive back to stock after flashing you would run the restore.bat
nxdragon wrote:So all i have to do with the xbox1 power
here is a picture.
you will have to haver the power plug,plugged in,and the 4 pin molex plug,plugged in to the kit.

nxdragon wrote:when flashing the Xbox 360
you will have just the dvd drive out on the table in front of yu.the only things that will be hooked to it is the sata cable from the xusb to sata and the power from the connectivity kit.

Got it. I bought my X360 USB last night offline. So now all i have to do is to wait for it to show up and the process will begin. I can't wait. now i will have more questions after i get my DVD drive flashed just to ask how to backup games :D . That is going to involve more money just because i know you have to buy a certain DVD Drive that can support a DVD+R DL and also buy the Dual Layer disc. That is what is coming up and also what programs do i use to backup xbox 360 games? You know what i mean. That is where you are going to have to act on your knowledge and help me out but i will look through the forum and see if you have a section that talks just about copying or i mean backup games. Thanks for all of the help. If i need anything else i will post it here. Thanks, Nxdragon

well the one thing you need is a
sh-d162c dvd drive with kreon v100 firmware.
this
http://cgi.ebay.com/BEST-DEAL-SAMSUNG-S ... dZViewItem" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
they dont make them any more.
a year ago there would be 10 pages of them,now there was 10 different people when i did a search.
get one while you can.

you will then need a DL dvd burner most all of them will work fine.
after that you will need 2 programs.both can be found here.
Xbc 2.8 and img burn2.4.1.get them here.
http://www.robinhoodsplayground.com/for ... f=112&t=48" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and the guides for using them is here.

-R won't work.

get verbatim dvd+r dl (made in singapore preferably) and your set.

other media/brands will work but from what i've read an been told these verbs are the best to use far as longevity of your laser an backup quality.

good luck with everything man.

Got my DVD drive already and i also would have received my Connectivity Kit but Fedex took it back because it required a signature to accept the package so i m going to go into work late because the are suppose to drop it off in the morning at 9:00 am or 10:00 am i can't wait after that all i have to buy is my dvd's and i m ready. Though tomorrow night i will be flashing my xbox 360 drive. Just informing you on what parts i already have received in the mail. So tomorrow i will post on how everything went.
