yah for now I have it like that. it runs soo cool. the heatsinks don't get warm at all. but I'm worried about the bottom of the box getting hot.Digital Menace wrote:just curious, do u play ur 360 opend like that with the big ol fan on top ?
does it really run cooler ?
is playing ur 360 open the new fad ?
hell maybe i should do it with my beeping 360 lol.
it looks funny, but if it helps keep it cooler i'll do it lol
I'm gonna close it all up.. but ordered some fans to cut into the case and am waiting for them.

thanks guys.
i think i'm gonna get some max fans one day lol.
even though i know i could do the 12v mod i think...since the only soldering is wires together right ? then tape them...
from what i've seen.

yea i think i might attempt this then.
Re: air to the bottom of the box?
just look over the guide well.
keep in mind that the 12v dvd power wire i DON"T cut.
i use the soldering iron to melt the insulation jacket back.then clean all the insulation jacket off without cutting or breaking the wire. then solder the wire to the fan on top of the 12v dvd power wire.
doing that keeps the resistance as low as it can be.
