Really Confused .. Please Help

Hello everyone,

I must have spent around 3 days trying to figure this out. Only way to check I found is by looking through the small hole and if Yellow = lite on if White=Benq.

I recently purchase my box and it has white wires, other details of my box

Manufacture Date= 2008-06-11
Lot Number = 0823

Just want to make sure before I could open the box!

the only 100% way to know what you have is to open it up.

i would be VERY suprised to see a benq in a brand new june made 360.

i think the latest lot they've been seen in was 820 which was middle may if even that.

but i suppose it's possible, if you see white wires then it's a benq.

but yeah also just open it up to make sure.

Ok, I think I have to open the box to find out. I've successfully removed the warranty sticker and the outer box. Now just neet to get Torx 10 to open the metal cover.

Lite-on with white wires will be a wierd situation though. I will keep you guys posted.

you can usually find torx 10 in a screwdriver set that you might have a lying around the house.

Finally I have opened my xbox. I wanted to open it over the weekend, but I couldn't control myself till the weekend. I cracked it opened just five minutes ago.

Lo and behold.... it's Benq drive, proving that yellow-white theory right. I gotta be few lucky ones who got that box.

So that proves the Yellow-White theory is right and there is no truth about the Manufacture-date or Lot number theories.

I'm waiting for my Sata card to come..

no probs mrBj its very straight forward to flash a benq. I just thought it was liteon because the lot number and the mfr date, the chances of it being a benq were slim to none I thought but your lucky its benq. Good luck

yup the last benqs were made in may.

i knew i was right about that much. lol.
