Ive just flashed the benq with non stealth FW using a floppy disc to boot. everything went fine. takes a lil longer to read the banks when using the floppy.

btw do you know what speed the nonStealth FW is? its nice and quiet tho.

i went for the non stealth coz ive got some games that are not stealth patched.
if i wanted to change the FW on my drive again would i have to put the original
FW in first?

okay i use a different flash disk, and it worked to star from dos with usb,, and i follw the instruction,how to do flash the drive,, well now is there a way to check to make sure i have the right firware in my benq drive?,,before i put the 360 back toghether!,,,thanks

with the benq and the sam drives you DO NOT have to do a restore on the drive.you just di the dump then do the flash.
