Gears of War 2

Has anybody heard about new GOW 2? It's coming on Nov 7th or 8th in Canada.

I haven't played the first one, since I didn't have my xbox 360 (a Wii owner). And now I'm back into 360 games. So you think I should try the first one before I try the second? I really suck at games , the only games I ever finished are few like Zelda for Wii, took me around 85hours and Manhunt 1 PC.. and some others.

Anyways, I like Manhunt kind of games. I'm not sure if I should get Halo 3 or not since I've not played any from that series.

Please say out if you have any recommendations.

I'm not very good with games myself, but I still love to play them. I would recommend GOW1 to anybody. I loved it. The thing is, I'm not a halo fan and game play is similar, just a different environment and different characters. But I still liked it at any rate. I still play it even though I bought it when it first came out.

Come hell or highwater, I'm going to get GOW2 LE when it comes out thats for sure.

GOW 1 Was good so i would say take the second one !

Manhunt thats... thats just sick ... Good game tough

Try to download some demo's of games you might like so you get a glimp of how the gameplay goes, or if ya can rent a game for a day or so or try to play it in a video game store.

Over here we have some game stores that offer some "try before you buy" so you can actually know how the game is like.

well being a FPS kind of guy.
i say hell yea get Gears of war and play it before you play gow2.
that way you will be into the story and the game.

gears 2 is badass, and a must own when it drops on nov 4th.

anyway i got it at midnight with all the gold weapons codes (even tho i don't go online lol) and shirt and stuff.

played it for few hours, it's got better graphics than the first and it's more colorful.

just a more cleaner gears overall.



i give it a 10, lol nah gears 2 gets a 12.

Got my copy of GOW2 on Friday, it look pretty good but I have to finish my GOW1 coz I just got it a few days ago. Too many games and not enough time... sad. Miss my days when I had toooo much time. Oh well....

yeah it's roughly 10+ hours long, which is like twice as long as gears 1.

anyway i already beat it now i'm on my hardcore run then it's insane. lol.

its good that is for sure.

it does have a bug or two.Its not as smooth as the first one for sure.
there seams like a lot of time that i am just watching the fighting and not having to do much.
but over all its a buy that is for sure.

I give GOW2 two thumbs up ! I agree with CoFree about the game not being as smooth as the first one, and I think its actually easier than GOW. I jumped straight to hardcore and found that alot of it was fairly easy... We'll see waht Insane will be like. Oh and Horde is another story... You need at least 3 people to finish it !!

anyway i'm almost done with my 2nd playthrough.



great game, i find it funny theres some haters on the gears 2 msg boards.

oh well to each his own but gears 2 is one of the best games out there.

Got mine finished, before finishing the first GOW. I ended the game in a surprise, when I wasn't even thinking about being close to the end and it just got done with an easy fight with the final boss.

And now I've started playing the GOW1 and it's proving to be at least 30% to 50% more difficult that the GOW2 (GOW1 has lots of surprise attacks). I played casual but I played casual on both, but first is lot more challenging than the second.

Anyways, both are great games. I felt really bad for DOM, if I were him I'd have taken her to the hospital, if there was any left in the town. Rip Maria.
