I just got a new drive with Kreon firmware for making my own backups. The drive is great. I can see it easily in "My Computer" but when I go to output my new backup there isnt an option for the drive.
For instance if I use ImgBurn or CDClone in the drive option it only has (G:) but the new drive is (E:). But it isnt being detected as a source. What can I do to get these programs to recognize the drive so I can burn my new backups?

Re: Drive not recognized
even Xbox Backup Creator recognizes the device but doesnt give me the option to use it. It is in the drop down menu, but the start button never lights up even with a blank disc in the drive.
Re: Drive not recognized
How do you have the drive connected to your computer? I've always had to have the drive set as primary master on the secondary channel when I connected it via IDE cable. I have mine in an external USB case now though.

Re: Drive not recognized
the drive that is recognized is the main drive i guess. It has been hooked up for a while. It is connected through IDE. The new drive is connected with a SATA cable.
Re: Drive not recognized
Kreon drives are ROM, you can't burn anything with them
just about any DL burner can burn backups

just about any DL burner can burn backups

And if at first you don't succeed..? Order the damn card!

Mirc is a place to chat, post up on the site for help!!!
Re: Drive not recognized
ok
so the dvd drive that is for dumping the games is a sata dvd drive.
have you went in and made sure the sata ports are turned on.
you do know that this drive with kreon firmware is for just dumping games.
you have to have a DL dvd drives for burning

Re: Drive not recognized
This helps a lot. Kinda sucks though as I was hoping to use this burner for duel purposes. My other dl burner stopped working.lilrevuk wrote:Kreon drives are ROM, you can't burn anything with them

Re: Drive not recognized
