flashing the samsung and benq drives question

hi guys - just want to know if you flashing the benq or samsung drive with ipre008.8...you dont need to use the ck3 probe or solder anything do you, just to read the key keys and firmware ?.....unlike like the liteon drive?...ta

the only dvd drive you have to solder is the lite-on.
the sam and the benq there is no solder
