the 2.4 speed is the fastest you should burn your backup.
the 2x,5x,8x, and 12x is the read speen that you put in the 360 dvd drive when you flash it.

all i use is 12x speed.i hate the load times(loads fastest with 12x) and dont care how load it is.i have the sound so high on the tv i dont hear the 360 dvd spin sound anyway.
