flashing a benq with blaster

Post by cookiemon »

Hey Guys I was here a year and a half ago giving you guys headaches. Im readt to try again, I got myself a new pc and my only question is do I just follow your video for flashing a benq with the new iprep and the new ixtreme ? I have loaded iprep loaded the 3 firmware files have my flash drive set up and ready, my pc's sata cable is hooked up to my sata port in my pc and the sata port in the blaster. The switch is set to pc , power on and mode switch set to the left (off). Do I just reboot into dos and follow your new video ? nothing different with using the blaster ie shutting on and off ? if so I am ready to go !
I will wait for a answer before I proceed...you guys have been great cookiemon

well with the new iprep8.8 you only have to load the firmware you need.
other than that you look good to go.

Well it went through the whole process without a glitch, but when I put in a game that I burnt to a disc it says play game, I press a button then after about 30 seconds it comes on disc is unreadable, disc may be dirty clean disc and restart x box. I have 3 games that I burnt to a dl disc about a year or so ago, I think I burnt them with image burn, who knows they may have been bad burns but all 3 disc did the same thing. I am going to search around on the newest software to burn a downloaded 360 game with, I may have screwed something up. I will download a new one and try it again. I put in my store bought ones and they work fine. So I am really really close, you have been a huge help...thanks so much

we dont support backup with a downloaded game iso man. ;)

if it will play a orig game then
i would say its its your backup that is the problem.
if nothing else dump orig and burn that and test then at least you will know you have a good iso.

Sorry I must have said something wrong, problem is solved. I appreciate all your help answering all my questions over the last almost 2 years. Everytime I left a question you personally replied within minutes to EVERY one. I am so geeked I finally got this to work after all this time. I would like to make a donation to this site (I hope I can say that ?) or to you personally for your tireless effort in helping knuckleheads like me and never told me to quit bothering you and just go read.
Thanks again cookiemon :D
