liteon question

Post by mrc »

Hi ya

I recently used jungle flasher to flash a liteon drive, is working fine but I want to change it to a ms25 but the key is the wrong size(16 bytes) I have inquiry , dummy and identify.bin files the only one that is 256 is the dummy and although this has the drive info jungle flasher says that important information is missing. How do I get the key to use on another drive like the ms25?

Thanks

The dummy.bin contains the key # you need to spoof another drive m8.

Just load the dummy.bin in JF and copy it.

Use toolbox to spoof (look for spoofing guide under the tutorials section)

open jungle flasher
load source firmware (your dummy file)
open target firmware (sam hacked firmware)
spoof to target

save

you now have a spoofed samsung firmware you just need to flash in the samsung

Hi ya

Thanks for the reply. Does the error message "important drive information missing" not matter ???

It looks like the firmware type is misssing as it is blank

The key is right as it works with the liteon.

I guess i dont really have a lot to loose anyway can always flash again if not.

Thanks for your help

well you need to have all the files from your lite-on.
if you dont it will not be 100% live safe.(not that it is anyway)

Yeah, you need to start all over with your lite-on drive. If the error important information is missing, you need to get that. I had a drive that did that to me, but I just had to re-dump it about 3 times for it to get it right. Then you can use jungleflasher like cofree explained and it'll work like a charm.
