Hi
Just got myself a xbox arcade machine and am getting a little confused , as ive got a hd tv can i just buy a hdmi lead from ebay and plug it in to the tv and then into the back of the xbox or do i need and buy the official xbox hdmi lead with the little switch on that changeds from pal to hd??

If you plan to use the hdmi for both audio and video the answer is no. Any hdmi cable will do.
If you need to use optical or composite than you need the official M$ hdmi cable.

Jut thought you should know, The cheaper leads are rubbish and I found I get a much better quality using the HD AV lead what has like a PC connection on it, Not sure the preoper names for these leads but if you have a PC port on your monitor/TV, I have a built in TV/Monitor and the picture is quite good, If you gonna use HDMI id suggest investing in a decent one.
