Lite-on help

Post by gatorlee »

I successfully extracted the dvd key using jungle flasher in xp. When I wrote the new fw it said the inspection failed. This may be due to conflicting via controllers apparently. So i tried using iprep and it says it can't find the sata controllers. Now I have an erased lite-on and i switched back to vista to use vista to load the same thing because my iprep works in vista for some reason. Now it can't find the port the drive was on. I put the dvd back into the xbox and powered on and got the E64 error code just to test if it worked. Now i plug the drive back into the ck3 and it won't eject to power cycle or even be recognized by my computer. I then plugged into the xbox to try and power cycle this way nothing. Drive isn't recognized nor will it eject please help. Also does anyone have an idea why jungle flasher won't write to the drive.

If its erased it won't eject etc until you've fully flashed it over. Jungle can be very temperamental with Via cards, you can get around it by uninstalling the via drivers and installing the portio ones. As long as you have dumped it succesfully you should be ok. Rename the dumped firmware Litcfw.bin and use iprep to finish off the flash. When you startup iprep does it show a sata controller in the right hand side? If it does take note of the port.
