Not reading 360 drive

Post by stick person »

Hey guys, I'm having a problem when trying to dump the firmware onto my Samsung MS25. After I type "dsam 1234567 12345" and hit enter, only these four options come up

1) IDE Pri Master
2) IDE Pri Slave
3) ICH6P Pri Master
4) ICH6P Pri Slave

Anyone have any clue how to get the XTREME Pri Master up there? I have this SATA card http://tekgems.com/Products/la-pci22-vt6421a.htm

Thanks a lot guys

EDIT: There are also 3 different places I can plug the cable into on the chip. Does it matter which one I plug it into?

Got it, sorry. Messed around in BIOS a lot and whatnot. Ok, so it dumped it and I'm about to check the keys in the FW toolbox thing. I noticed something after I dumped though. The screen said Original FW Version: MS25 iXtreme FW Version MS28 Drive version spoofed.

Is that normal?

And now I'm not sure if I'm checking this right. I open up FW toolbox, hit the open firmware thing, then what 2 do I compare? Do I go into my flash drive, go into backups, 1234567/12345 then compare the SAM-CFW key with the SAM-OFW key and that's it? If I go into the CFW folder and check that key I get all Fs

after it did the read did firmtool start(like in the video) if so you can check that it should be the same.

I think it stated but maybe just really quickly so I didn't see it. Is it normal that the OFW is in the BACKUPS/1234567/12345 folder?

Keep in mind that your ms25 will be handled as a 28 from now on. You will have to do the 10 second trick any time you upgrade the fw in the future.

Alright. If I do the 10 second trick and just flash exactly like I did today will everything be ok?
