divx/xvid

Ok so I haven't had the balls to update from MS because of my flashed drive. I don't think the update will kill it...? I want the divx/xvid playback. Has anyone done it yet? I'm thinking of using my external usb hdd with divx/xvid's on it in conjunction with the box.

all my 360 have took the update no problem
