Hi

i bought a modded xbox360 and it play backup games with no problem

now i want to update to ixteme 1.51 and the drive is benQ. so when i dump its ok if it was not the original firmware ? or i have to download the original firmware from the net and put the key in it ??


or its ok with the hacked firmware with the key to save it for any thing goes wrong?

just act like its never been flashed before but make sure the key looks like yours then just flash it in.

actually its my first time to flash so i will do it like in coFree's video tutorial and BTW how do i know my key is good ? because i read old topic saying that your key must be a couple of numbers and hex so i just want to know if i use iprep 8.8 in the first dump it will get my key right ? no need to try many times?

a good key will be a lot of different letters and numbers
not a lot of the same thing

As cofree said, keep your eyes open for any recurring 0000s, 55555s or 777777s as this will indicate a bad dump. Also worth loading it into jungleflasher to see if it reports ok.

Another way to confirm that the key is good (and that your sata is working correctly) is to dump the fw twice, if the key's unique (as Dalecheesy said, no recurring characters) and it matches in both dumps, you know all is well

so i understand now that jungleflasher can check if my key is good or not and also i can try the twice dump to double check if the key is the same or not
