JungleFlasher 0.1.55 - cleanup to 1.51
Image
=======================================
We have probably added or changed alot more but this is what we could remember.

Hitachi Support Updated
---------------------------------------
- Portio will only be enabled with "Via Only" ticked, as it was only added to support Via w/o drivers
- Via card must also report status (Code 39)... no drivers loaded
- Mode Select method removed from Port IO. Mode Select is for USB support, port IO does not support USB.

Modder Mode
---------------------------------------
- Now stops on bad device ID.

Splash Screen
---------------------------------------
- Context enable/disable removed from splash ( added as a ctrl key)

Advanced Ctrl F Keys
---------------------------------------
- Ctrl + F5 key, set modder mode backup directory, clear folder to disable it
- Ctrl + F6 key, hitachi read block size 100 --> 2000 ( 78 and 79 FK models will fail on this )
- Ctrl + F7 key, set working folder in modder mode... clear all tabs and save log
- Ctrl + F8 key, enable "Free Flash" and "Ram Poke" in Hiatachi
- Ctrl + F1 key, enable context menus
- Ctrl + F2 key, disable context menus

Lite-On Dummy.bin Serial Fixer
---------------------------------------
- Bug, fixer added drive barcode byte swapped to Identify string, fixed.

Sammy flash
---------------------------------------
- was failing for at least one user.. typo in last cleanup. fixed.

Port Inquiry
---------------------------------------
- Timeout in port Inquiry for drive properties extended from 200ms to 1s

Lite-On-Erase
---------------------------------------
- Dead time after l-o-erase extended from 2s to 3s
- dots and timer added for better appearance.

Having a big problem with this, i'm trying to upgrade an Hitachi 47 which has 1.4 on.
I watched the video tut, but wanted to make sure i'm doing everything ok ?

Ok i'm running vista (32) i have on board sata on via VT8237 raid controller and a via VT6421 raid sata card.
I followed the tut and used my on board sata, i managed to dump the the old fw and key after the third attempt, but can't for the life of me restore the stock fw ?
I have also tried to use the VT6421 sata card, but couldn't even dump the fw this way?
I have put the both stock & ix1.5.1 fw in the firmware folder inside the dir of JF as stated, the problem arises when i send mode B!
So i need to ask... Do i have to have the mode B switch on or off ?
I have tried to test the drive is in mode B by clicking twice as it says and closing twice just to confirm, but it only takes one click?? why does this happen when it actually states it is in mode B ??
I can't seem to restore the stock fw and falsh it! is it a mode B problem or something else??
Here is a run down of what has happened, just hope some 1 can clarify the problem for me...

Still need some confirmation on this... just an update, went back to JF 1.51 and mode B worked first time.
The only thing is, after i clicked restore the program wasn't responding! So after nervously waiting about 30 secs :o it said the same thing, "execute failed" !
My questions to any 1 that can answer them Are... As the mode select and ram poke options have been disabled in 1.55, which is the better transfer method classic or ram upload??
Mode select is an option on 1.5.1 so is this best??
Also in 1.55 is it still necessary to turn off your drive when enabling mode B??
Last, but by no means least... can we, or do we need to use the Mode B switch on the ck3 in this method, as surely this is what it is meant for???
Hoping for a response... :D
