Just out of interest....
When flashing a Hitachi onboard (Nforce chipset), will I have a problem if the Primary SATA port is connected to a HDD? And if I change the port the HDD is connected to, will it just boot, or not be recognised??
I can do it somewhere else, if it saves me messing about installing a new drive just to flash...

Re: Question about flashing with sata HDD.....
With the hitachi, you shouldn't have to detach your drives. After all, you need to be in windows to be able to flash it. It could be a problem to get into mode B if your using a slax disc if you don't use an independent power supply, connecivity kit or the 360 itself as a power source.

Re: Question about flashing with sata HDD.....
So do I have to change the HDD sata cable to another port, or does it not matter at all with the hitachi??
Knowing my luck I'll crack it open and it'll be a 79
Thanks for the (as always) speedy reply

Re: Question about flashing with sata HDD.....
It shouldn't really matter. Once you get the drive into mode b, and you get into windows, it just installs it like a regular dvd player that firmware toolbox will be able to address
