It won't show your drives after you have deleted or renamed the viamraid.sys unless you have the portio installed. Did you remember to also install that too?

yep. have that installed to. has to be something im doing wrong on my end i think

Are you using vista by any chance as that can cause a few problems? I'd maybe reinstall the portio driver and try again. It'll probably be something basic.

using windows xp. i deleted everything this morning and started over . i can do it again.

God loves a trier..lol. Maybe uninstall jungle and portio and update the .dotnet (unless you're using the latest). Get the earlier version and reinstall the portio and start from fresh. I haven't used the latest 1.55 but i didn't come across any problems when using the older one after i'd deleted the .sys file.

now the .dotnet is the netframework right? if it is i have v2[1].0

Yeah anything from 2 onwards is fine.

ok i searched viamraid and came up with 3 listings. 1st one the name is viamraid folder C:\WINDOWS.3\system32\drivers. the 2nd: name is viamraid folder C:\WINDOWS.3\system32\ReinstallBackups\0003\driverfiles. the 3rd: name is viamraid folder C:\WINDOWS.3\system32\ReinstallBackups\0004\driverfiles. now i just want to rename the first one viamraid.bak right?

Can't hurt to rename all the blighters. As long as the card showing a yellow exclamation mark when you reboot you know you're on the right track.

that could be a problem! i never rebooted after renaming! ok i change the name, then i enable my viaraid controller, then reboot?
