Mounting/multiple questions
Hello, I am new to the xbox 360 firmware modding. I recently flashed my x360 with firmware xtreme 1.51. I have tried to get windows to see my xbox but it keeps freezing and does not see it. I have tried:
1. Turning on the xbox then my computer-failure
2. Getting to the booting/loading windows screen- freezes then reboots; never-ending cycle.
3. Turning on xbox on when windows is running- freezes then starts working again but doesnt see my 360.
I am currently running Vista and I have my 360 plugged into the sata drive when doing what is mentioned above. My xbox 360 model is the TS H943 ms25. The firmware I used is for ms28, is this going to ever be a problem because my xbox hasn't broken yet and it seems to have flashed fine.
If anyone knows what I might be doing wrong or has had this problem getting windows to see the xbox please post here. I also have a problem with imgburn. I have hawks.dvd, but I get the error "cannot open file: C:\users\****\desktop\x360-hawks.000" Reason: The system cannot find the file specified. I noticed in a tutorial here that there was a magic .iso file with the .dvd, is that required?

Re: Mounting/multiple questions
you can only mount a benq or ms28 drive with 0800 firmware
use the ck3 for power first of all
and if u try to mount then power on drive before u start pc or while windows is loading.

Re: Mounting/multiple questions
I want to backup a game, but I have to get my computer to see my xbox 1st
.

Re: Mounting/multiple questions
You would need to dump your current firmware and keep it handy. Then flash it with the 0800 firmware for samsung drives. Then when your done, flash it with your firmware that you dumped before flashing 0800.

Re: Mounting/multiple questions
Sadalius, my problem is not flashing the firmware, my problem lies within the bounderies of trying to get my computer to recognize my xbox 360 as a drive. I have already succesfully installed the 0800 firmware. Again I now need to get my COMPUTER to "see" my XBOX 360 so that I can make BACKUPS.
This should not be a difficult task to accomplish.

Re: Mounting/multiple questions
keep troubleshooting it man, but sometimes your motherboard might not be able to communicate with it,

Re: Mounting/multiple questions
This "SHOULD" not be a difficult task, but it sometimes is. Those drives weren't meant to be seen by windows so we use a modified firmware that not all setups are going to be able to use. CoFree and I were working on one one time that would lock his whole computer up when it was attached. So please don't expect everything to work 100% with every setup. I myself have multiple computers and out of the bunch there are a couple that I can not get an 0800 drive mounted in them successfully. It's one reason I went ahead and purchased a samsung SH-D162C to eliminate that problem so I could rip on what ever computer that I was at.
Even on a couple of other computers with an 0800 drive, I have to watch when I attach them or they won't mount. One I have to have attached and powered on before I turn on the computer, the other, I have to attach the drive when I get the Windows loading screen for it to work.
Another bit of advice is to not be so impatient. Just take your time and if its something that can be figured out, it will be.

Re: Mounting/multiple questions
One question I have about this whole thing is that I flashed the newest firmware 1.51 spoofed to 0800 which is for ms28. If I am using ms28 firmware with an ms25 drive will it work correctly?

Re: Mounting/multiple questions
Yes, it will work fine. An MS-25 is teh same exact thing hardware wise as a MS-28. the MS-28 just has a higher revision firmware, and a nice little label that says MS-28 instead of MS-25, LOL. If you look at the ixtreme firmware, it's all the same so it works on both the ms-25 and the ms-28.
EDIT:
Almost forgot to mention thought that a 360 is programmed to look at that though. If your console has an ms-25 and you put a ms-28 in it it will work. However, if your console had a ms-28 in it and you put in an ms-25 it wouldn't. You can upgrade, but you can't downgrade without spoofing it.

Re: Mounting/multiple questions
I have tried and tried and there is still no progress. Do you want me to give you my computer specs? Should I buy a ck3? What is it I need to get this computer to see my xbox?
Edit:
Important Specs:
320mb Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS
400gb high speed SATA hard drive
need more than tell me.

Re: Mounting/multiple questions
I keep on hearing about this via stuff from posts and tutorials. I have no clue what you guys are talking about. Do I need to buy a new motherboard or can I just install some drivers or something?
Edit: sorry for repost
