DSi Dated, Priced

Nintendo has announced the US release date for the DSi.
North Americans will see , priced at $170. The handheld will initially be available two colors; black and blue.
"Ever since the arrival of the first Game Boy, consumers worldwide have turned to Nintendo for their portable gaming," says Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales and Marketing. "Nintendo DSi builds on Nintendo's commitment to bringing fun and creative entertainment to everyone, and will allow consumers to personalize and share their very own experiences."
Nintendo’s will also launch the DSiWare service along with the handheld, which will allow users to download titles directly to the handheld. Prices of those titles are unconfirmed as yet, with Nintendo giving its software the ambiguous price of “from 200 points”.
A European release date has not been announced.

Following its disclosure of the DSi’s North American release date, Nintendo has opted to hold back details on the handheld’s European launch until later this week.
We had requested specific information from Nintendo regarding the DSi’s European release, from launch date to the proposed retail prices of the hardware and DSiWare, yet the publisher remains quiet on the subject for now.
However, a Nintendo representative stated that an announcement regarding the DSi’s European launch is “due this week”.
The handheld – set for launch in the US on April 5 – will retail for $169.99, which is at the time of going to press worth £119.74. Americans can expect to see the system available in blue and black versions, and include the same camera system found in the Japanese version.

Nintendo has confirmed that the DSi handheld will launch across Europe on April 3.
The company had not confirmed the pricing of the unit, though multiple reports suggest the unit is expected to retail at £150.
The handheld, which launched in Japan back in November, will be available in black or white, with Nintendo not once mentioning the word blue in its press release.
Nintendo has also confirmed that Australian side of PAL will see the unit released on April 2; also available in black and white, but not blue.
The handheld will sell for $170 in the US, which is at the time of going to press worth £118. It will sell for AU$300 down under, the equivalent of £134.
