Post by Kanobi »

I already ran JF to get all the original stuff off the 47D drive, just wondering what program and what process/course is needed to install the new BenQ drive.

In jungle flasher open the original hit firmware as source,

Open benq ixtreme 1.51 as target,

Click spoof source to target,

Proceed with flashing the benq as normal,

If you want dump the benq after flashing to see if it matches the hitachi key :D

This is awesome info, and it helps me out greatly.

In my situation, what i'm trying to do, is just taking an un-flashed hit47 drive, and replacing it with a Benq replacement drive. How would i go about replacing it with the Benq drive without loading up iXtreme software on it? Is it possible?

The guy doesn't want him Benq drive to be modded, he just wants it to be the standard default method.

As stated earlier, thanks again this help that I got from louis09, and thanks ahead of time for any help I might be getting from u guys.

yea
you can do that
you would just "open target firmware"
and input a benq orig firmware.
getting a copy of a orig benq firmware is going to be the trick.
if you have a benq orig just make a copy of it and it will work after you replace the key. ;)

So, I've modded my personal 360 which has a benq drive in it with ix1.51, and I have the backup folder saved.

I could just use my personal original Benq firmware and use the Hit47 drive key, and it should work?

If so, what exactly is the file name if I left it default when backing it up for the BenQ file(s)? Is it BENQ-OFW ?

Many thanks ahead of time again!

I would do the spoofing in JF and flash the Benq in iPrep...if this were me doing it (I love to mix it up a little and find flashing in iPrep for Benq's to be the most reliable/comfortable method.)

New problem now...

I just realized that when I originally flashed my benq drive, i forgot to save the original stuff. It was on the 2nd time around that I saved my stuff, thus my backup original Firmware is actually is iXtreme 1.4 firmware...sigh!

So, now, could i run a iprep on the new benq drive, and just do the "read" part to get the original firmware from the drive?

Then, using either JF or (taking suggestions, seeing this is my first time), could I than use the Hit47d drive key and make it work for the new BenQ drive? Again, I don't want to flash the new drive with any Hacked firmware.

Thanks again, much appreciation ahead of time!

(If the most suggested method would be JF, is there a tutorial on how to do this? Any basic steps one might suggest also?)
