its a bad flash mate,if you look where it loads auto firmware prior to flashing..the dvd key is 0000000000000000000
the dvd key MUST match your original dump dvd key.in jungle,dump drive in the hitachi tab,after successful dump,the tabs will switch to the firmtool tab..in the top box you will see your dumped firmware,in the box underneath will be the target firmware(CFW).check the dvd key is the same in both boxes,if not click spoof source to target then save file,then go back to hitachi tab,and write(flash ixtreme)

is the key that is in the "cfw"

also keep in mind that he said it would play orig games.
if the flash was bad or a bad key it would not do that.

at this point i think you need to look into how you did your backup and the disc you are using.

CoFree is 100% correct. The flash is fine. The 0'd key is from the ix 1.5 cfw prior to it spoofing the source to the target. Check out your media, if you have a friend with a modded 360, ask to borrow one of his working backups or have them try yours. This isn't always a reliable test because every drive is different in their own ways.

Are y'all sure its my media backups? I used the hitachi to play backup games that work on my benq and the backup games still don't work on the hitachi. Its a bit old but I think it should work. My backups are Verbatim Made in singapore 2.4x discs that I burn 2.4x after I abgx the file

update i been reading guides and it could be that I need to clean laser or pot adjustment. Any tutorials for these? Should I follow this viewtopic.php?f=198&t=423" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and put the pot setting to 3? Also the iextreme is flashed to 12x maybe 8x is better on reading discs? thanks

You can try the pot tweak if your absolutely sure that your backups are spot on. There is only one speed of ixtreme 1.51. They didn't include speed hacks because they felt it would be a trigger to get banned from xbox live. But I think there is a way to manually do a speed hack though.
