Long Cables
Long Cables
I'm looking for really long sata cables 3ft or more, does anyone have a good place to get them from. I've checked all the usual spots, NewEgg, Tigerdirect, CablesToGo.

I would also imagine there would be sata extentions... IE you plug 1 sat into it, then plug another sata into it, and it makes 1 long one. I have no idea what you would call it but i think they make them

Re: Long Cables
I found this site cooldrives.com which is kind of deceiving. These are pretty cheap but ridiculous shipping.

6 CAD and free shipping. So thats like 4.50 USD?

Re: Long Cables
I bought a 72" esata to sata could not see the drive with it....must be the length I think not that I went out and bought another 72" kind of figured it was due to cable length. If you at first don't succeed try fleaBay.

Re: Long Cables
I tried the SATA / Molex front plate from last week and i couldn't get the drives to recognize. so Im back to the open side of my Antec a900. It would be nice if a 3-6 foot cable would work but I think there is an issue with trying to transfer data that far apart. anyone know for sure?
Re: Long Cables
i use a 3' sata cable all the time
but
that is as long as i could get to work

Well I ordered a 39" one from newegg for 8 bucks with shipping I really hope it works I'm tired of crawling under my desk to do the drives.
